The last post of the year

Hello! Today it´s my last blog during the semester and I want to tell you about my experience doing this activity. In my school I had to write in English for different things such as dissertations or tests, but the truth was that most of the classes were theoretical and not practical so learning was slower. Now with this activity that we do almost all the classes I have had to practice writing in english, there are times when it has been more difficult especially because I do not always know how to say something even when I translate some words. In general I think that this activity is original, and I value that we need constant practice. During the semester when I would read the blog of other classmates it was a good opportunity to learn more about some of my classmates' tastes. I found the activity quite good and if I had to improve things it would be about my own effort to learn more English. I really do not know if I am writing excellent in english but with this kind of activities I have to try harder to learn. I hope to practice a little during the holidays and so get ready for next year; because I believe that learning any language is an excellent opportunity.

Hello! Today for this blog I am going to talk about a book I like. The book that I choose is “El Principito”, I read this book when I was in the school and from the beginning I found the story fascinating. This book was writing by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, was published in 1943 and the original title is Le Petit Prince. In the beginning of the story the narrator tell us an event for his childhood where he recognizes the lack of creativity for the adult, throughout the story the narrator who is now a pilot, is in the middle of the desert because his plane was broke down. While he was in the desert he meets a little boy that the narrator call the little prince, meanwhile the narrator tries to repair his plane, the little prince tells him the story of how he came to the earth and all the adventures that he lived during his trip. This book has the particularity that every time you read it you discover something new, besides the book it´s made for people of all ages can read it. I hope I can read it again on vacation.  I invite you to read it, you will not regret it ! 

Basic Psychological Processes

Hello! For this blog I will talk about one of the subjects that has most caught my attention during this first year of career and is basic psychological processes. This subject is from the second semester and is led by Professor Juan Wilson. During most of the classes the teacher talk about some topics related to some chapter that we had to read, and in general it relates to daily life, (that's one of the things that I like about the subject). Until now we have seen things like motivation, social and psychological needs, goals, effort, self, etc. One of the reasons why I like this subject is that it allows me to relate what I am reading with my day to day, on the other hand I also like that the professor constantly makes comment (a little extensive haha !!), that allow me to relate the subject to the current world. In general this subject has caught my attention because it is one of those that I have felt closest to what happens all the time and in all people.

For this blog we were given the option to choose between two topics so I decided to write about a web page related to the career and chose U-cursos. U-cursos is an application that although it isn’t to find information about each subject, it is related to the day to day because that is where most of the teachers upload the grades, the texts that we have to read, where they send us emails and they also have the possibility of opening a task site where we deliver some of our work. This year it is one of the web sites that I visit the most and check it at least once a day to see if they have sent something, in general I find it very practical, comfortable and easy to use, especially if one does not handles technology very well, I also find it very efficient since, unlike webside from other universities, at least this year it has never had any problems. It is a page that all students of the Universidad de Chile should use, but I will also leave the link here, I also advise that if you have space on your cell download the application, because it is much more practical

For this blog the subject was free, and I really didn’t know what I could write about  so I decided to search for freak datum about cats. Some of the searchers mention things like they have more bones than humans, that unlike other countries in England and Australia black cats are good luck, that they have  12 whiskers on each side and that  cats sleep on average 16 hours a day (how lucky). On another page it appears that cats came to America from Europe to fight pests, and that like fingerprints on humans their noses have a unique pattern, and finally that most cats meow only to communicate with humans because with other cats they make other sounds. There was more data, but I put some of the ones that I found most interesting and most likely the next time I'm near a cat I will try to check some of these things. I also invite you to do the same especially if you have one at home

Today I´m going to talk about a photo I like. I choose this photo because when I saw I stayed in love with the situation. It´s a new that  was report for a young man named Jason Hechomier, was upload in Facebook an event that happened in Valparaiso on October 10 where a young man standing behind a grandfather in a supermarket line notices he leaves some things to the side and decided to ask him why he did it, before this the old man replies that he couldn´t reach the money. Before this the young man decides to pay for them (jars of tuna and toilet paper) so the old man could take them. While it may be an photo that doesn´t stand out so much I found it wonderful, since knowing how difficult it´s to survive for many elderly in our country it seems fantastic that there are people who are willing to help without asking anything in return. 

Hello! Today for this blog was free subject so I will talk about one of the things I like to do, sleep. For this blog I search some datum that I found interesting in relation to sleeping. It’s said that the human spends 25 years of his life sleeping, on the other hand it is said that sleeping a  little makes the person earn 1 kilogram a week , I also found that memories are better stored during sleep, so many times when we wake up we remember the subject better than before we went to sleep. On another website I found that lack of sleep has effects similar to those of being drunk. Finally I found a web page where it was mentioned that  sleep a little reduces the life expectancy so if I see what I have slept in since I started college I probably already lost a couple of years.
